Hamas announced that it held "in-depth" discussions with the Head of Egyptian General Intelligence, Major General Hassan Rashad, regarding the implementation of the ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement.
In a press statement, Hamas said that a delegation led by Mohammed Darwish, head of the leadership council, discussed "mechanisms for implementing the agreement, the violations that occurred, and the necessity for the occupation to fully adhere to the agreed terms without procrastination or delays."
The statement added that the discussions also reviewed efforts to achieve Palestinian reconciliation, including options such as forming a national unity government or establishing a community support committee.
The delegation included members of the movement's leadership council and the negotiation team.
