Jenin Under Siege: Israeli Occupation Continues Its Aggression for Ninth Consecutive Day

For the ninth consecutive day, the Israeli occupation has intensified its assault on Jenin and its refugee camp, leaving 17 Palestinians martyred, dozens wounded, and many others arrested. The relentless attacks have also caused widespread destruction of homes, mosques, and essential infrastructure, deepening the humanitarian crisis in the city. Reports indicate that Israeli forces deliberately left an injured Palestinian to bleed to death after initially claiming to have arrested him. The Ministry of Health has confirmed the martyrdom of 25-year-old Osama Omar Abu Hayja, who succumbed to his wounds following an Israeli airstrike at Cinema Roundabout.

The occupation forces have escalated their brutality by demolishing the Hamza Mosque on Mahyoub Street and bombing residential areas, obstructing ambulances from reaching the wounded. In addition to airstrikes and demolitions, Israeli bulldozers have razed streets and homes, forcing families to flee their neighborhoods. Military reinforcements continue to pour into Jenin, with new bulldozers and small-sized military equipment brought in to widen roads and facilitate deeper incursions into the camp’s narrow alleys. Entire sections of Jenin, including Al-Zahra School and multiple residential neighborhoods, have been reduced to rubble.

Clashes have erupted across the city as Palestinian residents resist the ongoing invasion, particularly in Cinema Roundabout and Al-Hasbah. Israeli forces have violently assaulted civilians, expanded their military presence in key areas, and detained medical personnel attempting to assist the wounded. More than 100 homes have been destroyed or set ablaze, while families remain trapped without access to medical aid. Despite the dire conditions, the Jenin Health Directorate has pledged to continue its work, receiving patients if they can safely reach the clinics amid the ongoing violence and devastation.
