Hamas Calls for Funeral Prayer in Absentia for Al-Deif and Fellow Martyrs

The Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) called on Thursday for the funeral prayer in absentia to be performed for the souls of the “great resistance leaders, Commander Mohammed Al-Deif and his fellow members of the Al-Qassam Brigades’ Military Council.”

In a statement, the movement said: “To the masses of our Palestinian people and the sons of our Arab and Islamic nation everywhere, in loyalty to the great martyr leaders of the resistance, foremost among them the Chief of Staff of the Al-Qassam Brigades, the mujahid commander and martyr Mohammed Al-Deif, who ascended in the Battle of Al-Aqsa Flood while defending the blessed land of Palestine and its sacred sites, with Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Mosque at its heart.”

It continued: “The Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) calls upon you to perform the funeral prayer in absentia for the souls of the martyr leaders tomorrow after Friday prayers in Palestine and in all mosques and Islamic centers around the world.”

Earlier , the military spokesperson for the Al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, Abu Ubaida, announced the martyrdom of the General Commander of the Al-Qassam Brigades, Mohammed Al-Deif, known as ‘Abu Khaled.’
