Hamas leader Sami Abu Zuhri stated on Saturday that repeated U.S. proposals to displace Gaza’s residents are "worthless, ridiculous projects," emphasizing that "what Israel failed to achieve by force will not be accomplished through political tricks."
In a Hamas statement, Abu Zuhri accused the U.S. of insisting on being a partner in the crime, saying that the claim of rebuilding Gaza as a pretext for displacement reflects Washington’s continued complicity.
He warned that the U.S. administration’s persistence in pushing displacement plans would only fuel more chaos and tension in the region.
His remarks came after former U.S. President Donald Trump reiterated on Thursday his intention to relocate Palestinians from Gaza to Egypt and Jordan, despite both countries rejecting the proposal.
When asked by reporters at the White House about the plan, Trump insisted, "Yes, they will do it. They will do it. They will."
