Dozens of Israeli settlers Storm Al-Aqsa Amid Calls for Protection

Dozens of Israeli settlers entered the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound on Sunday morning, performing religious rituals under the protection of Israeli forces. This comes as calls continue for Palestinians to stay at the mosque and defend it from Israeli plans.

The settlers entered in groups through the Mughrabi Gate, walking around and praying in the courtyards.

Israeli forces tightened security around the Old City of Jerusalem and the mosque gates, making it harder for Palestinians to enter.

Palestinians are being urged to gather at Al-Aqsa to protect it and reject Israeli plans to divide or destroy it.

In 2024, Israeli attacks on Al-Aqsa increased, with 59,584 settlers storming the mosque during the year.
