The Israeli forces announced on Thursday that an officer and a soldier were killed, and eight others were injured in a crane collapse incident in the northern Gaza envelope due to stormy weather conditions.  

According to the official Israeli Broadcasting Authority (KAN), the crane collapsed because of strong winds and fell onto a tent where the soldiers were inside.  

The Israeli forces clarified that they are investigating the incident, describing it as "serious and indicative of a lack of preparedness for weather conditions."
