The Palestinian Civil Defence in Gaza has confirmed that its teams are unable to recover the bodies of 10,000 martyrs still trapped beneath the rubble due to a severe shortage of heavy equipment. The Israeli occupation continues to block the entry of essential machinery, despite agreements stipulating otherwise.
Israel is obstructing key provisions of the ceasefire, particularly by preventing the delivery of the heavy equipment necessary to retrieve the bodies of both Palestinian martyrs and captured Israeli soldiers.
Meanwhile, the Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor reported on Monday that only four small-sized machines have been allowed into Gaza to prepare the Rafah crossing—far below the 100 heavy equipment units promised in the ceasefire agreement. The lack of resources has not only hindered efforts to recover the dead but has also delayed clearing the streets and providing humanitarian access to devastated areas.
