On Saturday, the Israeli Prison Service began releasing 183 Palestinian prisoners as part of the fifth batch of the first phase of the ceasefire and prisoner exchange deal between Hamas and Israel.
The Hebrew newspaper *Yedioth Ahronoth* reported: "The Israeli Prison Service has started releasing Palestinian detainees from Ofer and Ketziot (Negev Desert) prisons."
It added that the prisoners have begun boarding buses in preparation for their transfer by Israeli security forces.
Today, 183 Palestinian prisoners are set to be released from Israeli prisons in exchange for the release of three Israeli detainees by Al-Qassam Brigades.
Israeli Radio reported that Red Cross vehicles are on their way to Deir al-Balah in central Gaza in preparation for the release of the three Israeli prisoners.
Meanwhile, *Israel Hayom* newspaper reported that an Israeli Air Force military helicopter landed at the Re’im base near Gaza in preparation for receiving the three detainees and transporting them to hospitals in Israel.
Hamas is expected to release the three Israeli detainees on Saturday: Eli Sharabi (54), Ohad Ben Ami (56), and Or Levy (34), in exchange for 183 Palestinian prisoners, including 18 sentenced to life imprisonment and 54 serving long-term sentences.
