Local sources reported the martyrdom of a Palestinian citizen  today, Tuesday, due to Israeli occupation forces' gunfire west of Rafah city. 

According to the same sources, the young man, Mohammad Nafez Husni Abu Taha, was martyred after being shot by advancing Israeli military vehicles near the Saudi neighborhood west of Rafah. Another citizen sustained serious injuries from Israeli gunfire in the Tel al-Sultan neighborhood in the west of the city.

This incident comes amid ongoing Israeli violations against Palestinians since the start of the ceasefire agreement in Gaza on January 19.
