The humanitarian crisis in Jenin and its refugee camp has reached alarming levels as Israeli occupation forces continue their relentless military incursions. Mayor Mohammed Jarrar revealed that more than 50% of the residents are in urgent need of humanitarian assistance, with thousands displaced and struggling to survive under siege and ongoing aggression.
The blockade has made it nearly impossible for families to secure basic necessities, especially as Ramadan approaches. With livelihoods shattered and work brought to a halt, the desperation among civilians is deepening. The destruction of infrastructure and forced displacement have only worsened the already dire conditions in the camp.
Jarrar has urgently called on international organisations and humanitarian bodies to intervene before the situation deteriorates further. He stressed the immediate need for food and medical aid, warning that without swift action, the suffering of Jenin’s people will only intensify.
