The Saudi former intelligence chief, Prince Turki Al-Faisal, confirmed that the kingdom’s credibility is much higher than the credibility of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and that there is no preparation for normalization with Israel and that the kingdom’s position is firm.
He explained, in an interview with CNN yesterday (Thursday), that Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan denied the existence of any meeting between Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Netanyahu in Neom, but the media follow what is issued from Israel and do not follow what is issued from the Kingdom.
He added, “The kingdom denied this, and I think that the kingdom’s credibility should be much higher than the credibility of a person like Netanyahu, a person accused in his country of having lied to the Israeli people in several matters, so how can they believe a liar and not believe in all his previous publications.”
He stressed that there is no preparation for normalization with Israel, and that the Kingdom is steadfast in its position, and that the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz said in his last speech to the Shura Council that the Palestinian issue is the issue of the first Kingdom, and that the Kingdom is committed to the Arab peace initiative.
He pointed out that the Kingdom has a long relationship with America that passed through the various parties, and when President-elect Biden was also Vice President, relations with his then President Obama were existing and to some extent good.
