Palestinian students protested in Tel-Aviv University, today, against the killing of Ali Abu Alia, a 15 year-old child who was shot dead by Israeli forces in the West Bank village of Al Mughayyir, east of Ramallah, last Friday.
The demonstration carried the slogan "The Oppressors Exceeded The Range" as the Student Front affirmed in its call that this crime is "another crime that is added to the series of brutal crimes of the Israeli occupation, and its victim was the child martyr Ali Abu Alia, who was killed by the Israeli occupation soldiers."
The Secretary-General of the Communist Party, Adel Amer said in his speech: "This demonstration brings things back to normal, that occupation is the reason of all crimes, and the struggle against it must be firmly restored to the agenda in a daily struggle program.”
“We, Palestinian students, are part of the Palestinian people, and committing any crime against any Palestinian is a crime against us as well," the student Tariq Nassar stressed the importance of the student’s role in the struggle against the occupation.
Abu Alia was killed by live rounds during clashes that ensued when soldiers raided the village following a protest against the recent establishment of a new Israeli settlement outpost in the area.
