Prisoner Mazouz suffers from hard health conditions

The Commission of Detainees Affairs stated that prisoner Mazouz Besharat, 45, from Tuba town, northern West Bank, is suffering from extremely hard health conditions.

The commission said in a statement that prisoner Mazouz is currently in the Israeli prison, Ramon, suffering from various health problems. He suffers from a chronic headache and inflammation of the middle air causing him to faint. It assured that Mazouz needs a medical doctor to diagnose him, but the prison administration keeps procrastinating him, and gives him painkillers instead.

According to CDA, Mazouz suffers from acute back pain and tooth problems. He also cannot walk for more than 5 minutes as a result of the severe beating he exposed during his investigation. Accordingly, he needs a surgical procedure.

The committee mentioned that Mazouz wasn't suffering from any problems before getting arrested, but his health condition deteriorated because of the brutal investigations he exposed. Mazouz has been in prison since 2003, and is sentenced to life imprisonment.
