UNRWA Warns Fuel Blockade Risks Total Collapse of Gaza’s Humanitarian Aid

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) has issued a dire warning that over 100 days of Israeli fuel restrictions threaten to shut down all humanitarian operations in Gaza. Key sectors, healthcare, water, food, and telecommunications, are on the verge of collapse as fuel supplies dwindle under the ongoing siege.

Since March 2, Israel has sealed Gaza’s borders, blocking essential goods and fuel while intensifying military attacks on the population. UNRWA stressed that humanitarian aid simply cannot operate without fuel, urging the immediate lifting of the blockade to prevent further loss of life.

The blockade deepens an already catastrophic humanitarian crisis, as Gaza’s millions of residents face starvation, disease, and the near-total destruction of vital infrastructure amid continued violence.
