UNRWA Warns of Imminent Humanitarian Collapse in Gaza Amid Prolonged Fuel Blockade

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) has issued an urgent warning as Gaza faces a total humanitarian collapse after more than 100 days of an Israeli fuel blockade. The agency highlighted that without fuel, critical sectors such as healthcare, water, food distribution, and communications are on the verge of shutting down, putting millions of lives at immediate risk.

Since March 2, Israel has sealed off Gaza’s border crossings, preventing the entry of essential goods including food, medicine, humanitarian supplies, and fuel. This prolonged siege has severely crippled humanitarian operations, leaving aid agencies struggling to provide even basic services amidst an intensifying military offensive.

The Gaza Strip now teeters on the edge of famine and infrastructure failure, with hospitals running out of power, clean water becoming scarce, and communication networks faltering. UNRWA’s plea for the immediate lifting of the blockade underscores the desperate situation of a population trapped in a calculated campaign of attrition, where survival itself has become a daily battle.
