Qadri Abu Bakr condemned unprecedented attack against the Palestinian detainees issue in response to a report published by an Israeli newspaper on Monday.
The head of the Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs, Qadri Abu Bakr, condemned the unprecedented legal and international attack launched by the Israeli government on the rights of detainees and their struggle, as well as the Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs, which cares about them and their families.
This came in response to a report published by the "Israel Hayom" newspaper on Monday, in which it stated that members of the "Knesset" demanded, Benny Gantz, the Minister of the Israeli Army, to declare the commission as a "terrorist organization."
On this occasion, Abu Bakr said, "Israel attacks the detainees with all forms of hatred, criminality, and repression. It is not content with using methods of suppression and torture and undermining their rights and dignity, but rather seeks to achieve the political and legal dimension of the detainees as a cause of national liberation."
Abu Bakr stressed that prejudice to the issue of the detainees is totally unacceptable under any circumstances.
The Israeli forces have detained about 2330 Palestinians since the start of 2020.
