Gaza Death Toll Rises as Israel’s Bombardment Continues Unabated

The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza reported on Monday that 120 Palestinians were killed and over 550 wounded in just 24 hours, as Israel’s relentless military campaign shows no signs of easing. The total death toll since October 7, 2023, has now reached 58,386, with at least 139,077 injured.

Among the dead were three individuals recovered from beneath the rubble, part of a growing number still trapped beneath collapsed buildings and in bombed-out streets. Rescue crews, hampered by constant shelling and a shattered emergency system, estimate that nearly 10,000 victims remain unreachable. Since March 18 alone, more than 7,500 Palestinians have been killed and 27,000 injured.

The report also highlights the deadly toll of attacks on aid seekers. Over the past day, five more Palestinians were killed and 143 injured while attempting to access humanitarian assistance. This brings the total number of aid-related deaths to 838, with more than 5,575 wounded, many struck near so-called humanitarian corridors or food distribution points.

With hospitals overwhelmed and Gaza’s infrastructure in ruins, the Ministry’s figures offer only a partial glimpse into the true scale of the devastation. As the siege continues, Palestinians warn that time is running out, for the injured, the hungry, and those still buried beneath the rubble of a war that has erased entire communities.
