SAFA — Israeli attacks have killed 15 Palestinians and injured 38 others in the Gaza Strip over the past 48 hours, bringing the number of Palestinians killed since the ceasefire took effect on October 11, 2025, to 1,593, according to Gaza's Ministry of Health.
In its latest report issued Monday, November 2, the ministry confirmed that hospitals across Gaza had received the bodies of 15 Palestinians and treated 38 injured people during the two-day period.
The ministry said the total number of Palestinians injured since the ceasefire began has risen to 5,748, while the bodies of 847 Palestinians have been recovered during the same period.
The latest figures highlight the continuing loss of Palestinian lives more than a year after the ceasefire agreement, as Israeli attacks persist and rescue teams continue recovering bodies from beneath the rubble of destroyed buildings.
Gaza's Death Toll Rises to 74,609
According to the Ministry of Health, the cumulative death toll from Israel's war on Gaza has reached 74,609 Palestinians killed and 175,872 injured since the beginning of the assault.
The figures reflect the devastating human cost of the war, with Palestinian families continuing to lose loved ones despite the ceasefire.
The recovery of hundreds of bodies from destroyed buildings also underscores the lasting consequences of the destruction, as families continue waiting for the remains of relatives buried beneath the rubble.
UN Documents Continued Israeli Attacks
The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) reported on October 29 that Israeli airstrikes, shelling, and gunfire continued across Gaza.
The agency also documented Israeli military incursions and demolition operations near the so-called Yellow Line, raising further concerns about the protection of Palestinian civilians under the ceasefire arrangements.
Children and Women Among October's Victims
During October alone, Gaza's Ministry of Health documented 143 Palestinians killed, including 23 children, 11 women, and two elderly people.
Another 674 Palestinians were injured, including 190 children, 129 women, and 32 elderly people.
By the end of October, the ministry had recorded 1,583 Palestinians killed since the ceasefire began, including 348 children, 154 women, and 50 elderly people.
The number of injured had reached 5,696, including 1,731 children, 966 women, and 226 elderly people.
Monday's updated figures show that the death toll has since risen to 1,593, while the number of injured has reached 5,748.
More than a year after the ceasefire took effect, Palestinians in Gaza continue to face deadly Israeli attacks, while the recovery of bodies from destroyed neighborhoods adds to the devastating human toll of the war.
