SAFA — Israeli attacks across the Gaza Strip have killed three Palestinians and wounded 21 others over the past 24 hours, the Palestinian Ministry of Health announced Wednesday, as Israeli military operations continue to claim lives despite the ceasefire agreement.
In its latest statistical report, the ministry recorded two Palestinians newly killed and one who died from injuries sustained earlier, bringing the total number of deaths reported during the past 24 hours to three.
The latest figures raise the Palestinian death toll since the beginning of Israel's genocidal war on Gaza to 74,618, with another 175,920 people wounded.
The ministry's figures underscore the continuing human toll of Israeli attacks, as Gaza's devastated healthcare system struggles to treat the wounded and provide essential medical services to a population already facing widespread displacement and severe humanitarian shortages.
More Than 1,600 Palestinians Killed Since Ceasefire
Despite the ceasefire agreement that took effect on October 11, 2025, Israeli attacks have continued across the Gaza Strip.
According to the Health Ministry, at least 1,602 Palestinians have been killed and 5,794 others wounded since the ceasefire began.
During the same period, rescue teams recovered 847 bodies from beneath the rubble of destroyed homes and buildings, revealing the continuing toll of earlier attacks.
The figures highlight the gap between the ceasefire's promise of protection and the reality facing Palestinians, who continue to endure deadly attacks, injuries, and the destruction of their communities.
UN Documents Continued Israeli Strikes and Demolitions
A report issued by the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) on October 29 documented continued Israeli airstrikes, shelling, and gunfire across Gaza.
The report also recorded Israeli military incursions and demolitions near the so-called Yellow Line, alongside incidents affecting humanitarian facilities and relief operations.
These developments have further complicated efforts to deliver essential assistance to Palestinians struggling with the consequences of prolonged bombardment, displacement, and the destruction of civilian infrastructure.
Humanitarian Crisis Deepens as Gaza Awaits Relief
The continuing attacks come amid a humanitarian catastrophe that has left much of Gaza's population displaced and struggling to obtain adequate food, clean water, shelter, and medical treatment.
Hospitals remain under immense pressure, receiving newly wounded patients while attempting to care for thousands of Palestinians with serious injuries sustained during earlier Israeli attacks.
Shortages of medical supplies, damaged healthcare facilities, and restrictions on humanitarian access continue to undermine the ability of medical teams to provide lifesaving treatment.
Throughout October, OCHA warned that funding shortages and continuing restrictions were threatening the humanitarian improvements achieved following the ceasefire announcement.
For Palestinians across Gaza, the ceasefire has yet to bring lasting safety or meaningful relief. Israeli attacks continue to claim lives, while essential supplies and humanitarian assistance remain insufficient to meet the population's urgent needs.
