Israeli “Double Strike” Tactic Targets Gaza Rescuers, Reveals Hebrew Investigation

A damning investigation by the Hebrew outlet Sicha Mekomit has exposed the Israeli military’s systematic use of a deadly “double strike” policy in Gaza, a tactic deliberately designed to target civilians and rescue workers responding to initial bombings.

Based on testimonies from Israeli soldiers and officers, as well as eyewitness accounts from Gaza, the report confirms that drones routinely carry out a second strike just minutes after an initial hit. The aim: to kill anyone arriving to help the wounded, regardless of whether they are clearly identified as medics or civilians.

Soldiers admitted that these tactics have become routine orders, with no regard for who might be present. Medics in Gaza report being shot at while wearing marked medical uniforms, creating a climate of terror that paralyses life-saving efforts and deepens the humanitarian crisis.

This revelation adds to a growing body of evidence pointing to systematic violations of international law in Gaza, as the death toll continues to rise and the calls for international accountability grow louder. For Palestinians, it is yet another grim confirmation that even those rushing to save lives are not spared.
