ICESCO: Gaza’s Starvation is a Crime Against Humanity, the Silence a Global Complicity

From Rabat to Gaza, a cry of moral outrage echoes across the Islamic world. The Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO) has condemned Israel’s ongoing blockade and mass starvation of Gaza as an “unprecedented” crime in human history, a campaign of genocide unfolding with alarming clarity and unbearable brutality.

“What is happening in Gaza goes beyond imagination,” the organisation declared. “This is not simply a war. It is a systematic eradication of life through hunger, deprivation, and silence.”

The statement, issued Friday, urges the international community to act without delay, calling the current situation a test, not of diplomacy, but of human conscience. With 122 people already starved to death, including 83 children, and a population on the brink of famine, ICESCO warned that inaction today will echo through history as a stain on global morality.

The organisation called on all individuals, governments, and institutions to speak out with every means available, warning that silence now amounts to complicity. “To remain silent in the face of this suffering is to participate in it,” ICESCO stated.

In Gaza, people are not dying merely from hunger, they are being extinguished by a blockade designed to break the will of an entire people. ICESCO’s appeal is a reminder that this is not only a Palestinian crisis. It is a global one. And history is watching.
