Hospitals across Gaza have received the bodies of 88 people in the past twenty‑four hours, alongside hundreds more wounded, according to the Ministry of Health. Among the dead were twelve individuals retrieved from beneath rubble, while many others remain trapped or unreachable amid ongoing bombardment.
Eleven people were killed while attempting to collect humanitarian aid, with dozens more injured, adding to a grim toll of over a thousand killed during such efforts since the truce collapsed in March. Starvation also continues to claim lives, with six additional deaths reported in the past day, including children succumbing to hunger.
Since October 2023, more than 59,800 people have been killed in Gaza, with over 144,000 injured. Hospitals, already crippled by shortages and relentless strikes, are overwhelmed by the influx of casualties, unable to cope as fuel runs dry and equipment fails. Bodies lie unrecovered in streets and beneath ruins, while families wait helplessly, unable to bury their dead.
The figures tell a story of relentless devastation: shattered infrastructure, collapsing healthcare, and aid queues turned into fatal traps. For Gaza’s exhausted population, survival has become a daily battle amid destruction and despair.
