Israeli forces have once again opened fire on desperate civilians gathered for food in Gaza, killing and injuring dozens at aid distribution points backed by the United States. Local sources report at least 73 Palestinians killed since dawn, including 19 seeking food, in what witnesses describe as systematic massacres targeting the starving.
At the Netzarim Corridor, Al-Awda Hospital confirmed scores of casualties after Israeli troops shot into crowds waiting for aid, while in Rafah’s Shaqoush area, emergency teams recovered bodies from yet another attack on civilians near aid convoys. Doctors warn that famine is now claiming lives faster than bombardment.
Dr Mohammed Abu Selmeya of Al-Shifa Hospital described Gaza as “a place of death by starvation and fire,” with 147 confirmed hunger-related deaths, including 88 children. As hospitals collapse and “safe zones” are relentlessly bombed, Gaza’s death toll has surged past 59,900, over half of them women and children. Amid sniper fire and airstrikes on the displaced, aid lines have become killing grounds, leaving Gaza trapped between famine and bullets.
