Since October 7, 2023, Israeli detention has resulted in the deaths of 75 Palestinian prisoners, marking one of the most brutal episodes in Palestinian prison history, according to Tadamon, an international solidarity organisation. The report exposes widespread torture, medical neglect, starvation, and harsh conditions that severely damaged prisoners’ health.
Most victims were from Gaza, held without trial in secret military detention centres such as Sde Teiman. Authorities have also withheld bodies from families, violating international humanitarian law.
Tadamon urges immediate international action, calling for independent investigations and prosecution of those responsible through the International Criminal Court. These killings reveal a deliberate campaign of retaliatory abuse against Palestinian prisoners demanding urgent global condemnation
