The United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) has emphasised the urgent need for a steady and reliable supply of essential hygiene products to the Gaza Strip. The agency warned that without large-scale and consistent aid deliveries, the already dire living conditions for Palestinians in Gaza will continue to deteriorate.
UNRWA highlighted that such critical assistance can only be effectively provided through coordinated efforts under the auspices of the United Nations, ensuring aid reaches those most in need amid the ongoing crisis.
This call comes alongside alarming reports from the UN that acute malnutrition rates among Gaza’s children have reached record highs. UN officials continue to warn that without immediate intervention, the health and wellbeing of Gaza’s youngest and most vulnerable remain at extreme risk.
