Starvation Tightens its Grip on Gaza as More Lives Lost

The health authorities in Gaza confirmed that eight more people, including three children, have died from hunger in the past 24 hours, bringing the death toll from starvation to 235, with over a hundred children among the victims.

For nearly a year, Gaza has endured an unrelenting blockade and bombardment that has turned hunger into a weapon of war. Israel’s restrictions on food and aid deliveries have left families fighting for survival, with residents describing scenes of despair where only the strongest manage to secure scraps of food. Those who approach aid convoys risk being shot, while local groups attempting to distribute supplies fairly have themselves become targets.

Despite trucks of aid stranded at Gaza’s borders, crossings remain sealed, leaving thousands without enough to eat. The deliberate policy of starvation is extinguishing lives day by day, a collective punishment that exposes the scale of suffering inflicted on Gaza’s besieged population.
