Gaza’s Network of NGOs has warned that more than 15,000 patients and wounded are in desperate need of evacuation for treatment abroad, as hospitals inside the Strip remain overwhelmed, under-equipped, and on the verge of collapse.
Amjad Al-Shawa, the network’s director, appealed for immediate international intervention to save lives, urging the deployment of field hospitals and pressure to allow medical transfers. He stressed that without swift action, thousands face preventable deaths.
For the 679th day, Gaza remains under siege and bombardment, with civilians starved, displaced, and even targeted while seeking aid. In this devastated landscape, the suffering of the sick and wounded stands as one of the starkest symbols of a humanitarian crisis that continues unchecked.
