The Palestinian resistance movement has called on the United Nations and the Security Council to urgently intervene to stop Israel’s ongoing assault on the Gaza Strip and to lift the blockade that has strangled the territory for months.

In its statement, the movement accused Israel of deliberately denying the famine gripping Gaza, describing this as a “criminal deception” designed to mask the realities of mass killing and starvation. It stressed that the dire conditions in Gaza constitute both a war crime and an act of genocide.

The group further urged the immediate and unconditional opening of Gaza’s crossings to allow the uninterrupted entry of food, medicine, water, and fuel. It also demanded legal accountability for Israel’s policy of using starvation as a weapon against civilians.
