Hunger continues to stalk Gaza with devastating force. In the past 24 hours, four more lives have been lost to starvation, including two children, deepening an already unbearable tragedy for a population trapped under siege.
The death toll from hunger and malnutrition has now reached 317, among them 121 children, according to health authorities. Each figure reflects not only the brutality of deprivation but also the collapse of the most basic means of survival.
Since famine conditions were formally declared on 22 August, at least 39 people have died, six of them children. With food, clean water and medicine all critically scarce, the numbers are expected to rise. Families are left helpless as the youngest and most vulnerable fade away before their eyes, while the outside world looks on, knowing full well that this famine is not born of nature, but of deliberate denial.
