Continuous Israeli Airstrikes Claim Dozens of Lives Across Gaza

Since dawn on Friday, relentless Israeli airstrikes have killed at least 40 Palestinians and left dozens more injured across the Gaza Strip. The strikes, which have targeted homes, aid distribution points, and public areas, mark the 693rd day of the ongoing Israeli assault.

In the Zeitoun neighbourhood of Gaza City, two civilians were killed and several others injured when Israeli aircraft struck a group near Al-Shafi’i Mosque. Elsewhere, in northwest Rafah, two more civilians were killed while waiting for aid. Additional airstrikes targeted the Ashour family home in Tel al-Hawa, southwest Gaza City, killing five civilians and injuring others. In Al-Bureij refugee camp, remnants of a previously bombed home belonging to the Al-Qrinawi family were hit, resulting in further casualties.

In Khan Younis, three civilians, including a young wife and father, were killed when their tent was struck opposite the ETA station at Bir 19. Shelling near Tiberias claimed two more lives and injured nine others. Central Gaza’s Deir al-Balah also suffered fatalities and injuries following heavy bombardment.

Medical sources report that the humanitarian situation continues to deteriorate, with over 62,000 killed, more than 157,000 injured, thousands missing, and hundreds of thousands displaced since the start of the conflict on 7 October 2023. Widespread famine and infrastructure collapse compound the crisis, leaving the population in urgent need of international assistance.
