Gaza Health Ministry Warns of Escalating Massacres and Humanitarian Collapse

The Director General of Gaza’s Health Ministry, Munir Al-Bursh, has warned that recent intensification of Israeli attacks on Gaza City is pushing the territory towards widespread humanitarian collapse. Speaking to Snd News Agency, he said the assaults target hospitals and essential infrastructure, making the city uninhabitable in an effort to force mass displacement.

Al-Bursh described severe shortages in medical supplies, with around 75% of essential medications exhausted and critical surgical and fracture-fixation equipment in short supply. “We wait for a device to become free from one patient before transferring it to another,” he said, highlighting the scale of the crisis.

He characterised the situation as a “systematic genocide” against civilians, with hospitals and medical staff struggling to operate under relentless bombardment. Since Wednesday morning, 43 people have been killed, including 35 in Gaza City, as high-rise towers and residential buildings continue to be destroyed in attacks targeting the city’s 1.2 million residents.
