Gaza’s Health Ministry Reports 41 Deaths and 184 Injuries in 24 Hours

Hospitals across Gaza have received 41 bodies and 184 wounded over the past 24 hours, according to the Ministry of Health, which said two of the dead were pulled from beneath the rubble. The latest figures bring the overall death toll since October 2023 to more than 64,600, with over 163,000 people injured. Civil defence crews continue to report victims still trapped in collapsed buildings and on streets inaccessible to ambulances.

Between March 18 this year and today, more than 12,000 people have been killed and over 51,000 injured, the ministry said. Among the latest casualties are 12 people killed and 30 wounded while attempting to secure food aid, raising the number of those killed in “breadline” incidents to nearly 2,500. Over 17,800 have been injured in such attacks.

The ministry also confirmed five new deaths from starvation and malnutrition in the past day, including a child, bringing the total to 404 deaths from hunger since the beginning of the war. Health officials said the figures underline the devastating impact of the blockade and bombardment, accusing Israel of committing war crimes with the full support of the United States.
