Hospitals in Gaza have reported the arrival of dozens of bodies and hundreds of wounded in the past 24 hours, as Israeli bombardments continue without pause. At least 68 people were confirmed killed and more than 340 injured, with entire neighbourhoods reduced to rubble and emergency teams struggling to reach the trapped and the dying.
Among the victims were families in the “Luqmah Al-Aish” district, where repeated strikes have turned streets into graveyards. Thousands of deaths have already been recorded in this area alone, reflecting the scale of devastation that has engulfed Gaza since the start of the war. Meanwhile, hospitals remain overwhelmed, with shortages of medicine, equipment and fuel compounding the crisis.
Starvation has also become a weapon of war. In the past day alone, two people, including a child, died of malnutrition, raising the total number of famine-related deaths to more than 420. With entire communities deprived of food and clean water, the toll of hunger continues to rise alongside the casualties of bombs and bullets.
Since October 2023, the death toll has climbed to nearly 65,000, with more than 160,000 injured. The sheer scale of destruction, compounded by famine and the collapse of basic services, has left Gaza teetering on the edge of survival, while the world remains paralysed in the face of an unfolding genocide.
