Gaza City Under Siege as Genocide Enters Its 711th Day

Gaza has entered its 711th day under a relentless campaign of genocide, with airstrikes, artillery shelling, and ground operations striking all corners of the Strip. In the past 24 hours alone, 108 people were killed, including three deaths from famine and severe malnutrition, pushing the total of such deaths to 425, among them 145 children. Tens of thousands of civilians remain displaced, with entire families wiped out in their homes.

The latest operation has centred on Gaza City, where heavy bombardments have repeatedly targeted residential towers, apartment blocks, hospitals, and nutrition centres. Drone strikes near al-Shati Refugee Camp and booby-trapped vehicles in southern districts have added to the toll, while helicopter attacks on farmland and strikes on shelters for displaced families continue to claim lives. Health facilities, already overwhelmed, are struggling to provide care amid a collapsing infrastructure and dwindling medical supplies.

With no area left safe, families are hunted even as they seek food and shelter. Nearly half a million children live under constant threat, traumatized and malnourished after more than 700 days of ongoing genocide. Aid workers warn that the humanitarian catastrophe deepens daily, with famine, disease, and relentless bombardment combining to devastate Gaza’s civilian population.
