Hamas declared on Tuesday that it has never stood in the way of a ceasefire in Gaza, countering recent claims by U.S. President Donald Trump. The movement stated it has shown full flexibility in negotiations, pointing instead to the Israeli leadership as the sole barrier to peace.

The group accused Netanyahu of violating the January agreement and disregarding the Wittkoff proposal, which Hamas had already accepted. It added that Israel escalated matters further by bombing the Hamas delegation’s meeting place in Doha while it was reviewing Washington’s latest offer.

Hamas urged the U.S. administration to act in line with the values of justice and press Israel to end its campaign of genocide, ethnic cleansing, and forced displacement. It called on Washington to withdraw its political and military backing for a war that continues to devastate the Palestinian people.
