Since October 2023, more than 370 humanitarian workers have been killed during Israel’s ongoing genocide in Gaza, with the true number feared to be even higher. Entire families of aid staff have perished under bombardment, their lives taken as they tried to keep a besieged population alive amidst starvation and mass displacement. Many remain missing beneath the rubble, uncounted in the official toll.
Despite the devastating loss of colleagues, surviving staff continue risking their lives to deliver food, water, and medical care to millions of people trapped in a man-made catastrophe. Their work takes place under constant threat, as hospitals, shelters, and aid convoys are routinely struck, leaving civilians without the means to survive. The deliberate targeting of those who sustain life exposes the systematic cruelty driving the campaign in Gaza.
Global appeals to protect aid workers and guarantee humanitarian access have gone unanswered, leaving Gaza’s population isolated in the face of annihilation. The killing of these workers is not collateral damage but part of a broader effort to dismantle the very foundations of survival, ensuring that both the people and those who serve them are erased.
