Ceasefire Breaches Leave Gaza Civilians Vulnerable

Since last Friday, 36 violations of the Gaza ceasefire have been recorded, resulting in the deaths of seven civilians and injuries to others, according to the Gaza Center for Human Rights. Among the gravest incidents were shelling in Shuja’iyya, which killed five, and an airstrike on al-Fukhari, east of Khan Younis, causing one death and one injury.
Reports indicate that attacks continued across eastern and northern Gaza despite the truce, with all operations carried out without apparent military justification. Meanwhile, the flow of humanitarian aid remains severely restricted, with only 173 trucks permitted entry out of 1,800 requested, deepening the humanitarian crisis.
The centre highlighted that such restrictions constitute part of the ongoing genocidal war, using starvation and deprivation as tools of control. Calls have been made for the international community to act decisively, ensuring the protection of civilians, the unimpeded delivery of aid, and accountability for those responsible for ongoing violations.
