Israeli media reports indicate that the Prime Minister has instructed the Israeli military to escalate attacks on the Gaza Strip, disregarding the current ceasefire. The Southern Command and Air Force have been tasked with compiling a new list of targets for approval, signalling plans for intensified bombardment across the besieged enclave.

This decision, made following a security cabinet meeting, comes despite the absence of any legitimate justification for renewed military action, and continues the ongoing genocide in Gaza. Israeli authorities have confirmed that the strikes will be “massive and intense,” further endangering civilian populations.

Palestinian authorities reaffirmed their commitment to the ceasefire, condemning the move as a deliberate attempt to violate the truce under false pretexts. Officials emphasised ongoing efforts to recover the remains of those killed, highlighting the deliberate obstacles imposed by Israeli policies, which undermine the ceasefire and perpetuate violence.
