US Plan for Gaza Criticised as Serving Israeli Strategic Goals

A Palestinian resistance movement has voiced strong opposition to the twenty-point proposal advanced by the former US leader and condemned it as primarily serving the strategic interests of Israel, rather than addressing the root causes of the genocidal war in Gaza. The official spokesman described the initiative as vague and aligned with occupation objectives, rather than Palestinian rights.

The document, which emerged in late September 2025, envisages the release of Palestinian prisoners in exchange for Israeli nationals and the establishment of a temporary international stabilisation force in Gaza. Palestinian leaders criticised the plan for overlooking issues of self-determination, accountability for war crimes, and the complete withdrawal of the occupying power.

Despite this rejection, the movement clarified that it remains open to a Palestinian-run technocratic body governing Gaza rather than foreign administration, so long as the process follows national decision-making rather than being imposed.
