Gaza Hospitals Strain Under Rising Casualties

Over the past two days, medical teams across Gaza have received 12 more Palestinians killed, four of whom died in new incidents while eight were recovered from beneath the rubble of destroyed buildings. Seven others sustained injuries, and rescue teams warn that many remain trapped as access to affected areas remains severely restricted.

The Health Ministry reported that since the ceasefire began on 11 October 2025, more than 400 Palestinians have died and over 1,100 have been wounded, with recovery crews retrieving hundreds of bodies from the ruins. Even temporary lulls in the fighting have failed to ease the pressure on hospitals, which continue to struggle with shortages of supplies and equipment.

Cumulative figures since the start of the genocidal war in October 2023 show nearly 71,000 Palestinians killed and more than 171,000 injured. The ministry also noted that recent weather-related building collapses claimed four more lives, bringing the total killed in such incidents to 15, highlighting the compounded dangers civilians face amid widespread destruction.
