Israeli forces have maintained a siege on the village of Al-Mughayer, northeast of Ramallah, for a third consecutive day, sealing off access routes and expanding their presence inside the community. Residents report that troops entered the village late last week and have since imposed tight movement restrictions, with only one entrance left partially open.
Local officials say a residential home was taken over and repurposed as a military position after the family living there was forced to leave. The continued raids have disrupted daily life across the village, including the suspension of school and kindergarten activities, as armed units remain deployed throughout residential areas.
Tensions escalated further following the killing of a 14-year-old boy during a raid at the end of last week, drawing large crowds to his funeral the following day. Community representatives also reported incidents involving children with disabilities and a series of arrests aimed at pressuring families to leave land in nearby areas, where repeated actions by soldiers and settlers have been recorded. These developments are viewed locally as part of a broader pattern linked to the ongoing genocidal war and its spillover into the occupied West Bank.
