Gaza was rocked by renewed bombardment and large-scale demolitions from the early hours of Wednesday, as the genocidal war continued to exact its toll despite the existence of a ceasefire. Powerful explosions were heard across several areas, with entire residential structures reduced to debris, reinforcing fears that civilian life remains under constant threat even during periods meant to offer respite.
In the south, neighbourhoods in and around Khan Younis witnessed extensive destruction as homes and residential blocks were deliberately levelled. Artillery fire struck eastern districts, while air raids hit farmland and open spaces, compounding losses for families already deprived of shelter and livelihoods. The scenes of devastation were mirrored further north, where constant aerial surveillance loomed over Gaza City as additional buildings were demolished.
Central and southern parts of the Strip were not spared. Areas east of Deir al-Balah were struck repeatedly, leaving widespread material damage, while in Rafah, gunfire from helicopters and shelling along the city’s eastern edge intensified the atmosphere of fear. Thousands of families, many already displaced multiple times since the start of the genocidal war, now face renewed uncertainty, with homes destroyed and basic survival increasingly difficult under relentless pressure.
