Even ambulance officer wasn’t spared from Israeli violence

The Jerusalemite ambulance officer Tahaddi Toukhli, 26, told how the Israeli forces deliberately targeted him while carrying out his duty to aid the injured in the clashes that broke out last night in the north of Jerusalem.

Toukhli told Safa correspondent that the Israeli forces fired rubber bullets at him directly while trying to treat a number of the wounded, regardless of his being a paramedic wearing an ambulance uniform.

“I had been hit with a rubber bullet in the face, which leaded to the laceration of the area near the mouth and I was taken for treatment at Ramallah Hospital and my wound was sewn with more than 10 stitches,” he added.
