Two Palestinians, including a young boy, were killed on Thursday evening after Israeli forces opened fire in separate areas of the Gaza Strip, according to local reports. The incidents occurred in the Zeitoun district, southeast of Gaza City, and in the southern city of Khan Younis, amid ongoing violence despite a declared ceasefire.
In Gaza City, the child, identified as Saleh Badawi, was fatally shot in the Zeitoun neighborhood. Several others were reportedly injured during the same incident, which took place along a main street in the area. Witnesses stated that live ammunition was used, contributing to a growing number of civilian casualties in densely populated areas.
Further south, in Khan Younis, a 38-year-old man, Mohsen al-Dabbari, was also killed after being shot in an area locally known as Ard al-Laymoun. Earlier in the day, another Palestinian, Rizq al-Mallahi, aged 33, died from wounds sustained in a previous Israeli strike that had targeted a police vehicle in Gaza City days earlier. His death adds to the rising toll as injuries from earlier attacks continue to prove fatal.
These killings come amid what many observers describe as continued large-scale violence, with repeated violations reported since the ceasefire came into effect in October. The total number of Palestinians killed since then has increased significantly, alongside thousands of injuries, underscoring the fragile and deteriorating humanitarian situation across the Gaza Strip.
