Dozens Killed and Injured in Gaza as Medical System Struggles Under Continued Genocidal War

Hospitals in Gaza have received at least 17 bodies and 32 wounded people over the past 48 hours, including 13 fatalities within the last day alone, according to local health authorities. The figures come amid ongoing casualties linked to the continued genocidal war, with emergency services still unable to reach many affected areas.

Since a ceasefire declared in October 2025, hundreds more people have reportedly been killed or injured, bringing the post-ceasefire toll to over 800 dead and more than 2,000 wounded, alongside hundreds of bodies recovered from under rubble. Health officials say these numbers continue to rise as access to impacted zones remains severely restricted.

Cumulatively, since October 2023, the scale of loss has reached catastrophic levels, with tens of thousands reported killed and more than 170,000 injured. Medical teams warn that many victims remain trapped beneath destroyed buildings or lying in streets that rescuers cannot safely access due to ongoing hazards and damaged infrastructure.

The situation is compounded by the collapse of emergency response capacity, with ambulance and civil defence crews operating under extreme limitations. As a result, recovery efforts are delayed, and the full extent of casualties is believed to be significantly higher than current figures suggest.
