Rising Toll Continues as Gaza Hospitals Receive More Casualties

Hospitals across Gaza reported the arrival of seven more fatalities and 18 injured individuals within the past 24 hours, according to health authorities on Monday. Among those killed was one person whose body had been recovered from previously inaccessible areas, highlighting the continuing difficulty of reaching victims in devastated zones.

Medical officials indicated that a number of casualties remain trapped beneath rubble or lying in streets beyond the reach of emergency responders. Ambulance and civil defence teams are still struggling to access several locations due to extensive destruction and unsafe conditions, leaving many families without clarity about the fate of their relatives.

Since the ceasefire declared on 11 October, at least 817 people have been killed and 2,296 injured, with hundreds more bodies recovered during that period. The broader toll since the outbreak of the genocidal war in October 2023 has now risen sharply, with reported fatalities exceeding 72,000 and injuries surpassing 172,000, reflecting the sustained and devastating impact on the population.
