The spokesperson for the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades, known as Abu Obaida, has praised what he described as the resilience of the city of Jenin and its fighters, following reported clashes with Israeli forces in the al-Jabriyat neighbourhood.

In a brief statement, he commended what he called the “steadfastness” of fighters confronting Israeli troops amid what he described as ongoing Israeli genocidal war conditions across the occupied territories. He also highlighted continued confrontations in the West Bank, including resistance to settler attacks on Palestinian property.

He added that escalating pressure on Palestinians would not lead to submission, but rather to further escalation, framing developments in Jenin and elsewhere as evidence of continued mobilisation in the face of Israeli military operations.
