Israeli Drone Explosion Injures Palestinian in Khan Younis Despite

A Palestinian man was injured on Friday after an Israeli quadcopter drone exploded inside a residential building in the northwestern area of Khan Younis, according to local reports from the southern Gaza Strip.

The incident reportedly took place near the al-Attar area, where residents said an Israeli “quadcopter” drone detonated inside a home, causing injuries and renewed panic among civilians already living under constant surveillance and repeated attacks during the genocidal war.

The explosion comes amid continued accusations that Israel has repeatedly violated the ceasefire agreement announced earlier this year. Palestinians across Gaza have reported ongoing air strikes, shootings, drone activity and forced displacement despite declarations that a truce had entered into force under an internationally mediated arrangement.

Earlier on Friday, Gaza health officials said the death toll from the genocidal war had risen to more than 72,900 Palestinians, with over 173,000 others wounded since October 2023. Thousands are still believed to remain trapped beneath rubble or lying in inaccessible areas as rescue teams continue to face major obstacles reaching victims across the devastated enclave.
