Abu Obeida, the spokesperson for the Qassam Brigades, praised Hezbollah fighters in Lebanon on Friday, describing their actions against Israeli forces as part of what he characterised as a legitimate effort to defend Lebanese territory, sovereignty and civilians amid the continuing genocidal war in the region.

In a brief statement, he argued that Israel's ongoing military operations and territorial control were intended to offset shortcomings encountered on multiple fronts. He further claimed that attempts to isolate resistance movements from one another had failed, despite sustained military pressure and repeated efforts to weaken regional alliances.

According to Abu Obeida, developments over the past two and a half years have not delivered the outcomes sought by Israel. Instead, he said the campaign had produced a succession of political and military setbacks, maintaining that continued escalation would not alter what he described as a pattern of disappointment and strategic failure.
