Labor Unions of Gaza call on Egypt to release 7 Palestinian fishermen

General Federation of FGaza's Labor Unions has been calling on the Egyptian authorities to release 7 Palestinian fishermen for months.

“The release of Yasser Al-Za’zou by the Egyptian authorities, who witnessed the killing of his two brothers in front Rafah beach four month ago is too late regarding the hard psychological state Yaseer passed through alone,” the federation stated.

“Although, his release reflects the spirit of brotherhood and the historical relations between Palestine and Egypt,” it added.

Egyptian authorities are still arresting Mohammed Fayez Soboh and Mahmoud Shabaneh since March 22nd 2020;  Abdel Aziz Soboh and Anas Saleh since May 5th 2020.

They also arrested 3 fishermen on January 3rd 2021; Moahmmed Al-Bardawil, Nader Abo Shalouf and Mohammed Al-Saidny.

Labour Unit confirmed that the fishermen sail to earn their living. “The Egyptian Navy has to understand that they those men do not impose any kind of threats,” it reported.

It finally called the Egyptian authorities to cease fire towards the Palestinian fishers.
